Envision
During this phase, we commit ourselves to obtaining a comprehensive understanding of our clients' vision.
The knowledge we gain through our approach enables us to provide effective digital solutions that meet
our client's business objectives. The concise understanding of business objectives allows us to
architect and execute a successful user experience across multiple platforms and environments (internet,
wireless, broadband, NT, Unix). This highly collaborative approach incorporates our three core
disciplines: strategy, design, and technology.
By the end of this phase, we will:
- Assess the scope of the project
- Develop a sound digital strategy
- Clarify the business objectives, immediate and long-term
- Evaluate the competition
- Define the brand and the audience
- Determine the content, functional and technical requirements
- Build a detailed work plan for the remaining phases
The results of the Envision phase will provide the road map for the remaining phases.
Architect
Once the road map in the Envision phase is complete, the attention then shifts to our user-focused
design approach. This approach is iterative in nature, which allows for continual refinement
through usability and prototyping activities.development and refinement. We ensure that all of
the needed information is in place before we start developing solutions. We continue to utilize
our three key disciplines-strategy, design, and technology-while advancing into the
details of our client's solution. Content areas and process flows are mapped out. A development
environment is determined. Every feature of the project is designed, enhanced, finalized, and
documented in preparation for implementation.
By the end of this phase, we will:
- Determine the visual language that represents our client's brand
- Define site map and unique page schematics
- Finalize key page designs and style guides
- Define detailed solution functionality
- Define a detailed technical architecture that identifies technical components, interfaces
and technologies/products
- Develop a data model / E-R diagram
- Determine integration requirements with 3rd party products / services
Execute
With the final creative, functional and technical elements confirmed, InteractiveBlue will begin building the
solution. Coding of the presentation and back end functionality is developed within standards.
Testing is conducted to ensure that we are providing our clients with a superior product, which
adheres to the defined user experience. This includes iterative testing of components,
system/integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Quality Assurance is conducted throughout
every phase of our approach. This is critical when the products we are building are your strategic
advantage. Once this thorough process is applied to the product, we are ready to launch. Concurrent
with development, or upon delivery of the final product, we empower our clients with the information
they need for effective maintenance through a detailed knowledge transfer plan.
By the end of this phase, we will:
- Deliver final, detailed functional specifications for development
- Deliver test scripts developed to thoroughly test the solution
- Deliver final database design and schema
- Deliver final production code
- Deliver a fully functional and tested solution!
